Week #36 Forget The Single-Use Swabs

If you are trying to make more eco-friendly choices, then you should consider the alternative to single-use Q-tips.

We can find many ways to use disposable Q-tips in our household. From correcting make-up, cleaning our ears to accessing and cleaning hard-to-reach places.

However, these single-use cotton sticks are not biodegradable. This means that every single piece will be here for another 500 years and they often end up in our environment.

Did you know, that 1.5 billion single-use swabs are being produced every single day and the average American uses 415 a year?

Maybe you should consider alternative Q-tips made of bamboo or getting long-lasting swabs. 

This little change can have a huge impact on our planet.
