Can you imagine, that 100 trillion plastic bags are used worldwide every year?
That's actually 10 plus another twelve zeros after.

The actual “working life” of a plastic bag is just 15 minutes. And sadly, a single bag can kill more than once in the wild, where it can choke or trap again.

Did you know, that the world's deepest plastic bag has been found at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench, highlighting the spread of ocean pollution? (source)

Scientists made the discovery at 36,000ft (10,898m) in the world's deepest ocean trench, one of 3,000 pieces of man-made debris dating back 30 years. (source)

Half of all plastics ever manufactured have been made in the last 15 years.

Production increased exponentially, from 2.3 million tons in 1950 to 448 million tons by 2015. Production is expected to double by 2050 (source).

Plastic bags can be easily replaced with tote bags, fruits and veggies don't need to be packed in the plastic bag to be weighted. It's crazy to imagine that all the plastic ever made is still here with us. The more we will reduce it in our everyday lives the better our planet and we will breathe.
