Week #43 Think Twice Before You Buy

As we already mentioned the simple rules of triple "R" (reduce, reuse, recycle), we are here to remind you over again. Very important before any waste is made to consider whether the thing you are about to buy is really needed.

Branding mindfulness into your everyday lifestyle and shopping can save you some bucks and also save the planet.

Similar to mindful breathing or mindful eating, when you really need to be present and being aware of your actions, the same applies to mindful shopping.

Make a shopping list
When going shopping, you should have your shopping list. It will help you to avoid buying you don't necessarily need. No difference if you are buying groceries or a new outfit for your work, stick to your shopping list.

Would you buy that thing in full-price?
Too many people are tempted by a sale without considering if they would use the item. So you might end up buying things just because of the bargain and not because you really want or can use the items.

There are always other ways how you can treat yourself, buying things will not necessarily bring you the expected pleasure.
