Tip #9 Work From Home

More and more companies are starting to allow their workers to work from home office at least once a week.

Doing so has become quite popular due to benefits like reduced commuting time, increased flexibility, improved employee satisfaction and enhanced productivity. But working from home is better for more than just workers and their employers — it’s also better for the environment.

Commuting to work every day add to greenhouse gas emissions. Changing this one bit could make some difference too. Fewer cars on the road mean less energy use and fewer emissions.

Overall working from home reduces:

  • Greenhouse gas emissions

  • Energy consumption

  • Air pollution

  • Paper and plastic waste

Adding another benefit, one research has found that telecommuting employees are happier and more productive when they have the option to work from home.

If you haven't tried it, maybe you can ask your boss to let you work from home once a week. It's always worthy of a shot.
