Week #40 Zero waste shaving

We tend to produce a lot of plastic waste with our everyday activities and shaving is no exception.

Even though you don't feel comfortable with the safety razor, you should at least use razors with changeable heads instead of disposable razors.

The bulk of a disposable razor is non-biodegradable, leading to billions of pieces of hazardous waste ending up in landfills every year. Razor blades will rust away into nothing, leaving behind the plastic handle and casing for dozens, perhaps hundreds of years. At this time, there is simply no straightforward way to dispose of plastic razors in an eco-friendly way.

Unlike disposable razors, safety razors are built to last a lifetime. Using safety razors might be bit challenging at first, but once when you get used to on it, it will follow you all your life.
Either way, be mindful and choose products that work for you.
